So my plans for today’s post are out the window. I was really inspired by a couple of other bloggers’ posts this week, and knowing that WordPress lets you go back to old comments, I thought I’d go back and look at them to remember.
Apparently, it only lets you go back so far. So I have no idea what the posts are about. “Why don’t you just remember them?” you ask? Because I spend an atrocious amount of time reading things online and I can’t bloody well remember it all. That’s why.
So instead, I’ve decided to share with you something new, something I have never even tried to share with you before…
The wrapper crinkled in resistance as he attempted to tear it apart with his teeth.
“Dammit,” he thought. “A different approach is needed here…”
He sat on the wrapper.
He cautiously bumped it with his nose and then tried to tear it apart again, to no avail: the metallic wrapper crinkled once more, scratching him in this face.
“Ugh,” he growled, and stalked off.
Silently, he circled the room. He looked at me, unimpressed, and made himself comfortable on the black cushion to my right.
I reached out to touch his shoulder in reassurance, but he shrugged me off.
Sitting straight up, he eyed the wrapper.
Just then, he felt a terrible urge. His face suddenly felt disgusting. Greasy, even.
He rubbed his face with his hands. “Aaaaah,” he purred.
He plopped himself down onto his side, laying there comfortably as if that blanket was his bed. He amused himself there for a short time, the softness of the blanket cradling him as he continued to clean off the invisible dirt on his legs.
Finally, he curled himself into a ball, closed his eyes, and settled his small head on his front legs.
It was a time for a kitty nap.
His tail wrapped itself around him, his hind leg jutted out. His stomach rose and fell calmly, speeding up to at a surprisingly quick rhythm as he slept.
His ears pricked.
Suddenly he opened his eyes and looked around briefly, checking his surroundings. Everything was as he left it.
Rolled further onto his side, his head laid back and front two paws stretched out, he breathed deeply, eyes closed, settling back into his bed.
Boy, do wish I could live his life.
How did I do? Let me know in a comment below 🙂
