Well, this past week was a little scattered for Matrix, so this post is a little all over the place. Bear with me!
Matrix is sure growing — he’s definitely learning, too.
He has now figured out how to jump from the ground to the kitchen table, no boxes or chairs needed. He also now walks all over the kitchen counters when G and I aren’t around to keep him company. We were suspicious of this because we found plastic containers knocked around inside cupboards, with the cupboard door a little open a couple days ago. Today, we discovered paw prints on a plate inside another cupboard, the door of which had been left slightly ajar this morning.
We have resorted to putting a rubber band on the cupboard handles to keep him out.
So, yeah… the little guy is learning.
He also has officially tried to eat off our plates. He, like my family dog at home, loves to sit at my feet while I cook, or sit and meow at us while we eat. (We still have to move him off the table as we eat — he often jumps onto the table and tries to eat our food. He managed to grab a pork rib off G’s plate yesterday, though we did stop him in time.)
Matrix is also getting a little too big to go under the couch! He still likes to try and wiggle his way under, and sometimes he can, but his little bum doesn’t always get all the way under. So cute!
And today we had a friend over who hasn’t seen us in about a month, and she noticed that he’s getting bigger! (It’s true! I’m not imagining it!)
Finally, I recently ordered a lap desk off Etsy from the worldonlap shop (it’s beautiful, so happy) and it came in the mail wrapped in a piece of sisal rope. (It’s from Portugal. The top is made of cork as well as the cushion’s filling — a bit expensive, but I highly recommend it!) Suffice it to say the rope is his new favourite toy, and mine as well! G and I have a lot of fun trailing it behind us and having Matrix chase us. It’s a great time running in circles around the house!
And as usual, here are the photos of the week 🙂 hope you enjoy!
