It’s nice to see you again! Thanks for meeting me for tea. A lot can happen in a week…
If we were having tea, I would tell you that Matrix has become a purr-kour expert. You should see him flying across our couches!
If we were having tea, I’d tell you I drove in the snow for the first time last week. It was nerve-wracking! Being a BC coast girl I never really drove in snow, and to be quite honest, I didn’t really drive much until this past summer. (My parents share one vehicle, it just wasn’t really possible.) But it was a success! I did skid a little, but it was fine. Learning lots!
If we were having tea, I’d tell you that money has been tight, but it’s nice to finally be able to go for tea and not feel like I shouldn’t be. The past few months have been rough — having a new kitten is expensive, and so is getting an IUD! Plus I made a big lump sum payment on my student loan, before finding out I only get paid once a month as a substitute teacher, not bi-weekly. All worth it, though! Now that I get paid this Friday, I’ll finally be back on my feet. We’ll be able to have tea at least once a week!
If we were having tea, I’d tell you that I’m pretty sure I need to quit drinking. Or at least cut it down to only one or two drinks, MAYBE three if I’m feeling good. This past weekend I drank WAAAAY too much, and I suffered more than I’ve ever suffered before. Having a sensitive stomach in the first place doesn’t help, and it was definitely unimpressed with me yesterday. I was queasy all day, kept feeling like I needed to vomit and never actually did. It got the point where I really wanted to, just to get it out of my system. Seriously not worth it. I’m never getting drunk again. (To be fair, I don’t usually drink so excessively, but I’ve noticed even just a few can cause problems. Never again!)
If we were having tea, I’d tell you I started watching Jessica Jones and I’m interested in it! I love how strong the female characters are, and the variety of characters. I’m still kind of waiting for the plot to pick up, but I like it a lot. I’m also going to go see the last Hunger Games movie today… pretty exciting! Have you seen either? What do you think of them?
If we were having tea, I’d tell you it’s really nice to reset today. This past week has just been so crazy with rehearsals and work — I worked every day last week, which was really awesome, but I felt like I had no time to myself. I have to say I’m kind of looking forward to the performance this Saturday because then I’ll have my evenings back. Even though rehearsals were only three times a week, I felt like I lost so much time because the evenings I did have free were filled with chores and errands. It’s nice to relax today and just chat.
If we were having tea, I’d ask you about your week. It’s been a while — how have you been? What’s new? Have you been feeling like you get enough you time?
